You have heard it said: work smart not hard. What a bunch of crap. Work smart and hard. We do construction...it is not rocket science. What do you see that is decreasing production? Our greatest cost is labor. The company pays $13hr for a $10hr employee after taxes/insurance. An employee who is focused, using his brain, and cares about what he is doing can produce two times more than one who is not. However, as much as he may care, and as hard as he may work, other variables can kill our production time, and greatly increase overhead--thereby sinking this ship! If our labor costs are low our profits will be higher. How can you share profit if there is none. Raises? What are those? What do you see from your perspective that is decreasing production AND decreasing the chances of you seeing a raise or profit sharing?
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
